Hula is very popular in Japan, practiced mostly by women. It is estimated there are more than a hundred hula clubs in Japan with tens of thousands of women practicing the Hawaiian dance. Each year some of these groups visit Honolulu and put on shows. These pics show 4 groups of Japanese ladies doing the hula on the stage at Ala Moana Center, Honolulu's biggest shopping mall, sponsored by the Pan-Pacific Festival. They are quite good at it!
